Hi

we got a Premium SUV last year from Miami and got a Lincoln Navigator, it was great.

I had a Standard SUV to begin with and the Premium SUV was £2000, then about a month or so from my pickup date the Premium SUV plummeted to just a few pounds more than the Standard so re-booked that.

I have noticed a pattern for this year, if you do a dummy booking of 6 months out the Premium SUV is again silly prices, but if you try a dummy booking for a month or so then the Premium SUV plummets again.

We are going in October again this year so I think I will just wait until the end of August/beginning of September and then see what the Premium prices are like then. It will save all of the booking/rebooking I did last year.

Btw, I would go for the premium over size ... even though fuel is cheap I hate having to refill often and the big ones can be a pain to park!
Booked originally about 6 months ago and just keep checking it every day. Every time it drops I cancel and rebook. Lowest prices were last month so about 3-4m months before travelling. Prices have started going back up now.

From Miami the premium was a small Lincoln or Infinity. Both nice but to small. Swopped for a brand new Jeep Cheroke which was far better. So went from Premium down to Full size which was better. Not much choice in the Premium range.

Just come back from Orlando and we booked a full size SUV. Ended up with a 2019 Ford Expedition which was brilliant. Also was an 8 seater which was an added bonus.

Depends how much space you require. Landed at Sanford yesterday booked the premium suv and had the choice of
Audi Q5
Small small Infiniti
Or Infiniti QX60

We picked the qx60 as drive an Audi at home and wanted something different plus it was a 7 seater so extra space in the boot.

I felt the choice last time of full size suv’s Was better but guess it can be luck of the draw.

Read that you can downgrade the premium to another category but this isn't guaranteed. We prefer a bigger SUV and usually go with the full size but would like to try the Escalade.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Last September I booked a standard suv at Sanford. Went to the desk and the guy asked if I wanted to upgrade to the Escalade which was parked outside the door for $300 extra. I took his offer and he game me his card and told me next time just book a small car and give him a ring a week before and he would keep the Escalade for me
