Best MK fireworks exit plan?

Is there such a thing as a good exit plan after watching the MK fireworks? We love the fireworks and the projections but I always find it to be a frustrating experience on the way out as loads of people push up through the queues waiting for transport. Plus it’s always hot and sweaty. Nice.

We will be parked in the main car park and I’m sure I’ve read that the monorail to the resorts stops back at the main car park after the resort drop offs. This can be quicker as there’s less people queueing for this monorail.

Is this true? Any thoughts? Is the boat quicker? What’s the best combo of good viewing vs quick exit in the parks?

Or is it really just suck it up and deal with it.

I saw a tip on here a while back that there is also a certain bus no that goes to the car park. Apparently a lot quicker but we have not tried that yet. Someone else might post or have a look for it.

Also, we actually watched the fireworks from the near car park last time - walked to the ferry bit next to the monorail and had a decent view from there. Then straight in to the car and away easy.

I guess you wouldn’t have been able to see the projections on the castle as well though? Would ideally like to see the castle as well as fireworks.

We just hang about in the emporium or get an ice cream at the plaza for a bit then go for the resort monorail , it lets the masses go and then a quicker getaway.

No, cant see the castle projections. But the fireworks still looked awesome from back there. And that to us was worth the teade off for a very easy exit and journey home.

I was thinking of something like this, as my dad is disabled and will struggle in a massive crowd I thought hanging back till the crowd goes down a bit would be best?

Mums hates pushing crowds so it’s easier to just sit and relax a little and let the mass of monorail and buses go . For the sake of half he or so it’s well worth it. Main Street stays open for quite a while after and it’s nice to just sit and watch it empty, an ice cream is our favourite choice and dependent on the queues either the boat to the poly or the resort monorail , both easy to get to ttc

Definitely get the bus. We found this out last Aug. An hour wait for monorail or ferry - got straight onto a bus.
