2 Disney hotels magic band query

So I've been nosing around in my MDE and can see both my hotel reservations.

We are staying at AOA for the whole duration, but have a one night stay at AKL (so in effect have 2 hotels for one night) when I look on MDE it seems to want me to get 2 sets of magic bands, do we have to do this? or will both stays sync on one band?

You can either get two sets of magic bands for the different colours or you can decline a set , there�s a tick box to decline them .

Thanks for that wondered if I need separate for hotel keys, will probably decline the set

I dont think you can assign 2 rooms (different resorts) to the same magic band for the same night. You can in the same resort, i.e multiple rooms for a large family.
Why not just choose extra bands to be sure.

Not sure Sprocket is correct but it is a strange one, it actually doesn't matter whether you decline or not, every MB attached to your MDE can access your room, hence the reason you can do online check in & never have to go to a desk. MDE stores all of your information, the MB is just a "key" to open that info. So I'm guessing that you will be able to "unlock" both rooms on the same band

Yes you can use the same band... as well as other old bands you might have (battery life notwithstanding)

Either decline or take them in a different colour to give yourself and option

We had to use a key card for our one night stay last time (we refused second bands) they told us one band couldn't unlock 2 doors at the same time. Also, my sister and the kids were still in our OKW room so didn't want to mess anything up that end. It was no biggie, our original bands still did everything else (dining, charging, park tickets etc) just not the door at AKL
