I use a credit card, the ‘hold’ doesn’t cause as much of problem unless I get close to my limit 😱

But are you intending to pay with CC

We have always put a CC against the room but cleared the debt with cash?

Someone on FB has just come back

$100 hold. Spent $25 first day. Next day $125 against account. Day five anoth$100 added.

Someone else has cleared the debt but still has. $500 hold which they are waiting to clear

This new policy has caused us lots of issues and frustration this visit, we have left parks early due to no charging capabilities on our magic bands and have to keep going to the front desk to resolve it and to re add the credit card, and then back again when they only activate one of our bands
I’ve given up theses last few days and started carrying cash

The freedom of charging everything to our bands was one of the main reasons we stayed on site so will prob go back to staying off next time

Thanks I'll do just that then. Use bands for QSDP credits and pay on fairfx for anything else (which hopefully won't be much!).

I’ll just stick to cash from now on unless they remove the hold facility.

Any reason you could not use a different card as ‘hold’ and just make sure you pay off every few days however you want?

I only have a bog standard debit card so would incur charges, at least with cash there are no charges.

Hmmm, think I'll just use my credit card as a 'hold' and then pay for most things with my revolut card and not charge things to the magic band.

Not if you didn’t actually use it.

We linked our debit card but used TC to pay the balance every few days. So nothing was ever actually paid for by the debit card.

It was a bog standard Lloyds debit card.
