Worrying

Hello all.

I've been waiting for a while to book a holiday to WDW for a few months now.

Hoping to go early May 2020.
Checking daily as you do because I can't wait to book it with the free dinning plan.

I'm wanting to stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort again.
I checked this morning and now all they have are Pirate rooms and the price has gone up..

Hoping this does not mean the rooms are filling up?
I dread telling my girlfriend the news if that is the case..

Regards,

TDC

It seems to happen every year just before free dining is released, loads of rooms disappear off the system and then magically reappear on the 25th once the offer starts.

I wouldn't worry too much until that point.

Are you just checking with one company? We had a good price from Attraction Tickets Direct a couple of years ago and they seemed to have different availability of rooms than other companies. I am not currently planning (sob) so I'm not completely au fait with who is and isn't offering free dining at the moment.

Also we have booked previous years on the US WDW site which offers free dining packages at different times of year. For example we once booked in July for a package the same October, and saved about 11% on UK prices.

If you subscribe to Mousesavers newsletter, you get details of US packages as they become available.

In years past standard rooms disappeared after free dining was released meaning people panicked and booked garden view only for those pesky standard rooms to magically reappear again.

Also do check out other places, not just direct with Disney for room availability.

This is the time to hold your nerve, easier said than done, but lots of us are waiting for free dining to come out, me included.

I had a feeling it could of been a Disney trick

Yeah I can imagine a lot of people are waiting for the dinning plan.
I'll do my best to hold my nerve. Been waiting a long time for this lol.

Standard room at CBR is now available for the 9th May 2020 for 2 weeks. Don’t think that was there yesterday.
Disney are really doing a great job of freaking people out and getting everyone ready to snap up the rooms next week.

I have just checked again and they do have standard rooms available again.

Just hope they stay available so we can book when the dinning is released.
