BA 777 pre booking seats

What are peoples experiences with being allocated seats on the new layout on BA's 777.
We are a family of 4 and booked on a Tampa flight this August and on the new layout plane.
Do groups of 4 generally get placed on the middle rows?

That would make perfect sense to me. If you don't like the seats you can always change them when you do on-line checking if other seats are available.
