Anyone learning a new skill?

With spending more time at home are you planning on using the time to catch up on some DIY that has been put off?

Planning on taking up photography?

Some crafts?

I will be spending some time finishing off painting the 18 doors we fitted earlier in the year.

Yep. I am taking the doors off and painting them in the garage. The paint is water based and has virtually no vapours too.

I’m continuing with my Spanish course and about to start a new crochet project, also spend time doing digital scrapbooking.

New skills, not sure

This is a great little website and has lots of cheap online courses covering a wide range of topics from dog training to psychology

udemy/

I have several drawing courses and language courses on here

I have a long list.

But my NEW challenge will be to paint my Dads office. He passed away nearly 4 years ago and it has not been touched in 30 years (yes 30). I finally feel able to take the posters down etc, but there are so many nails in the walls etc

I have NEVER painted anything in my life so this will be interesting!

Went to local DIY to get some paint - got it but shelves empty in parts - told that they have had a ruch on paint etc as people deciding to get DIY jobs done!

We have already weeded out 1000's of 'hard copy' photographs.

But in our spare time we intend to get some Photo books created and sort into folders, clearly marked, the tens of thousands of digital photos we have.

My mother in law, or rather my father in law’s wife has asked me to crochet an item for her. I took up crochet again after forty years a couple of years ago. So not a brand new skill, but what she wants is quite complex and I will need to learn some new stitches and techniques. I am looking forward to it.
