Is Date night a 'thing'? Id heard rumours of it before but does it happen?

My wife and me have been doing this every Wednesday (probably 90% of the time) since we first started living together about 5 years ago.

I mean the only real difference is we make a big deal of it and over the years expanded upon it, like we have better pans, plates and cutlery we only use on Date night and a Kate Spade decanter and glasses that I got when I left one of my jobs a couple of years ago.

We're planning on doing a 'date night' once a week. Nice meal, proper clothes and I'll do my hair and make-up. We're both working from home and wearing joggers and tshirts so it'll be refreshing to do something different.

We had a date night on Saturday and we've been married 42 years :-) We'd been due to go to the theatre and a meal so I made a curry and the extras with wine, nice ice cream - ate at the dining table instead of the kitchen and then watched a dvd
