Disney Annual Passholders Refund or Extention
For those that hold a Walt Disney World or Disneyland Annual Pass, Disney has announced that it will be extending the expiry date.
If you are an Annual Passholder who has paid in full Disney will be extending your annual pass for the number of days the parks are closed. The new expiry date will be reflected on the Annual Passholder's account prior to the reopening of the theme parks. As an alternative, in lieu of an extention of their passes, Passholders who have paid in full may choose to receive a partial refund for the theme park closure period. Information will be provided soon on how to choose the refund option.

We got passes last August, used them in Feb and have another 2 trips booked for May and August.
I know May will be off but hoping August might still happen. If not I’m hoping they’ll still be offering the partial refund and I’ll be able to get some money back. |

Good to know. When the parks closed we had 7 weeks left on our passes (which we were supposed to be using this month), I can't imagine we'll be able to travel within 7 weeks of the parks reopening so at least we'll get a small amount of the money that we spent on the AP back.

We were there when they shut enjoying the last feew weeks of our passes!
Disney have after a bit of passing about said they have made notes and we will get an extra month or two on our pass from when we make a new booking (not sure the time period on it, )but was told they were making an allowance as we were staying on property at the time so could see we had had to cut our trip short. Also because we are from the uk they could see we couldnt just make arrangement as quickly as us citizens could. Edited at 11:31 AM. |

This is good news. Well done Disney. We were there when the parks closed and appreciated the offer of an extension although for us that was of no real help as we could not arrange a return trip before our passes would expire even with the extension, but this will really help us.

Just seen a report on Facebook from a pass holder that phoned. They got a refund of the time left from closing until expiry and the passes remain valid until their original expiration.
Think this is what I’ll do. Our passes expire in August and we have a trip booked for the first 2 weeks. Slim chance we might still get to go. Edited at 01:29 PM. |

That would be amazing. We bought and first used our passes last August and planned on using them again over Easter. We won't get the chance to use them again so a refund of all unused months would be ideal.
All I can officially find from Disney is that they will either extend passes by the number of days they are closed OR refund for the number of days they are closed (with no extension). Would be interested in hearing from anyone who has got any other sort of remuneration.
