Eating offsite - observations

Hi, we've been back a few days now. We ate off site 3 times and had lunch at Homecomin'.

Basically, Homecomin' are amazing. They not only let us share a meal, but they split the salad into two nicely presented bowls too! We also split a macaroni cheese, so paid $19 for the crispy chicken salad, $8 for the mac cheese, less 10% DVC discount (plus sales tax).

They also let us drink our own drinks, just giving us a couple of glasses of iced water. When I said I was diabetic they couldn't have been more helpful.

We also ate at Golden Corral a couple of times, once for dinner ($18.99 each plus drink) and once for lunch ($8.99 60+ midweek price including drink). I was very impressed with the cleanliness and quality of their food. The 'awesome pot roast' lived up to its name.

Finally we ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory just north of the outlets on Vineland. I had the Chinese salad, which I haven't had in years, and it lived up to its memory. Hubby had some sort of fancy burger (which he ate with a knife and fork: how civilised, lol).

No, I didn't. Sorry. BUT. They have two different coupon books available. Go in the entrance and walk round to the exit door, and they're placed there. I haven't even looked at the ones we picked up, but I believe they give 50c or more discount on breakfast.

Also, the breakfast price includes beverages (including juice) so you won't need to find that on top.

We're just having lunch at Culver's along the 192. Two burgers, medium fries and a medium drink for less than $17. It's delicious and so much better than a Disney offering.

From the research I have done I think it’s about $10.50 for adults

Hmm, we drove from Vineland to the estate that the Cheesecake Factory is on, and it was a good 5 minute drive, so probably not. There is a huge carpark at CF though, so you don't need to worry about that.

The big one on SR535 (ie at the bottom of Vineland Road). It wasn't busy at all either time we went, and the first time was a little after 6pm on the Saturday night, too.
