Walk way from Newport Bay

I have read that there is renovations work taking place on the walk way to the parks. I have seen you can walk the other way round the lake to the park but wondered whether this renovation work will be completed before our holiday in December. We have never been before and just want to make sure we have a fab time. Thanks for any tips/advise x

It's been going on for a while and I don't think it'll be finished any time soon. So for the time being to get to the parks you have to go right round the lake, past SQL and the HNY renovations to get in.

We went recently and the walk adds about an extra 3-5 mins to the journey. Not so bad and if the kids are tired you can always get the bus.

They tend to use the run around the lake as part of the half marathon course, so I'd hope it's done by September. With DLP you really never know though.
