St Pete's Beach. Boat trips and red tide.

Hi. We are due to go to st petes for one night in a few weeks time. We are thinking of booking a boat trip out to shell key. I wondered if anybody has any news about the beaches and water following last years red tide along the gulf coast, and any experience of trips out of st petes. Thanks. D

We are going around the one time I was there last year when Red Tide was really bad, we stay in Bradenton and it was heartbreaking to see the beaches as no go areas. we Love the beaches and really hope its clear when we get there
