The staycation cruises were nose swabs only the current cruises going from USA at moment from the YouTube videos I’ve seen it’s a nose swab only that you do in your car yourself paid for by Disney . Under 5s who are not vaccinated it’s a PCR paid for by yourself. Not sure what you class as a LFT or PCR but a PCR (free NHS one) for infants in this country is just a nose swab. If you pay via a company it’s throat and nose so depends what USA define a PCR to be. Not sure when your going on your cruise but I’m hopefully (fingers crossed nothing changes) go in 5 weeks I can let you know for defo.

Hi.

It's a nose swab only (a huge nose swab I may add) - we went on the Christmas eve to 27th December Disney Dream cruise a couple of weeks back.

We did it in our car, then waited around for the Safe Passage website to update for us - took about 45 minutes.

I think if you don't drive you go into a testing tent and wait in there and your information comes up on the screen, either clear to sail or 'see someone'

I think it's a bit of a mess if someone tests positive, because they take your luggage before the tests and then they have to find it again and organise transport if you don't have your own.

Our cruise was full capacity (covid capacity) at 2800, but only 2200 boarded, at least 100 were turned away at the terminal and the rest either tested negative before or cancelled in the days leading up to the cruise
