DCL PCR test under 5’s
Hi,
We are due to go on the Disney dream in a few weeks and I need to arrange a PCR for my 1 year old. Does anyone know if these need to be supervised such as going to a clinic or can I order from say randox, do the test on her and send off. This was the process when we boarded the magic but that was in this country not sure if the same applies for international cruises. Any advice would be great. |

My understanding is as long as its a PCR type test and not a lateral flow it doesn't have to be supervised it can be one you send off. Now the only thing is obviously the time aspect as it has to be taken at most 3 days before you sail. A lot of the ones you return via post can take over this amount of time. Personally if you can get to a centre I would do it via that as at least you know the results will get back in time as you haven't got the time it takes to get to the lab to factor in

Thank you, that’s great. I’ll look into a clinic as your right don’t want to risk not getting it back in time!
