Volcano Bay Late Afternoon Crowds

Hi all

We are staying for 1 night in August at the Loews Royal Pacific and would like to visit Volcano bay, as never been before.

The plan is to go to the parks til about 2 and then go over to VB late afternoon, but how busy is it likely to be at this time and is this really a viable option?

Thanks in advance.
Rob

We have done this and it’s certainly feasible. It will be quieter but we found it difficult to get a locker for our clothes and valuables.

Also, most summer afternoons you will have rain or thunderstorms and you will have to get out of the water. This can be for 2 hours or greater. They won’t let you back in the water until the thunder is 10+ miles away and that can be unlikely on a stormy Orlando afternoon.

I would get there early and do the theme park later.

Same as the hotels, but thanks for the info!

Volcano Bay was open until 9pm in August which gives you some flexibility

I would do it the other way, volcano bay in morning, universal studios in afternoon incase of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Universal studios is a great park if weather not so good as most rides indoors.
However you can get days without risk of a storm.
