That’s good to hear. Did you have to pay upfront or can it be paid with the balance?

So I phoned WDTC this morning and added Genie + to the Ultimate ticket.
I don’t know exactly what will happen if we need to move the booking, as he said the upgrade was non refundable and non transferable and that if we had to move the booking we may have to change to a Magic ticket. He also said because we hadn’t changed to a Magic we still keep the dining credit so
if we had to change to a Magic we will?
Anyway it’s done, lets see what happens over the winter and if we go as planned.

I hope it's okay too ask a general ticket question. If I purchase the 2022 tickets, will I be able to make park reservations for the length of the ticket if we stay off-site?
We are planning a split stay and I am a little confused about how the park reservation system works with the UK tickets and not staying on Disney owned property.

Yes, reservations need to be made whether you are onsite or offsite. When you buy the tickets you need to specify the first day you will use the ticket as it’s now priced around the dates

I emailed Floridatix yesterday and asked them to add Genie+ which they've done

Maybe because the 5% discount I used matches the 5% current deal so the Genie plus added £380 for 4 adults (£95 each extra)

Sucked it up and accepted that in this new world my 21 day tickets for £400pp are now 14 days over 18 and £550pp

With flights and car increases and a usual £8k holiday is around £12k so it is what it is

This is a very useful thread. I hope it's not too late to ask a question:

I understand there is some difficulty adding G+ to ultimate tickets with free dining plan. Is this only when purchasing for the length of stay in advance? In other words, can G+ be added on the day through the app as normal for these tickets?

Yes the only issue potentially is adding for the length of stay, it shouldn't be any issue adding on the day through the app.
