I would recommend watching either or both of these
The Pharmacist is on Netflix
Dopesick is on Hulu but you may be able to find it 8tger formants
Wow - you'll be shocked

Dopesick is awesome - and eyeopening, its on Disney+.

Think we've added The Pharmacist to our playlist to watch at some point...

Watched Dopesick a few weeks ago & wow I�d no idea about any of it. Brilliant series but such a sad sad story. Michael Keaton is outstanding in this, I was in bits through most of it.
We�ll definitely watch the pharmacist too.

The Pharmacist is a great documentary, I had no idea about the scale of the opioid crisis before watching it. Dopesick is on my list.

We've been going to the US for 30 years and as you say we didnt have a clue .
Dopesick will shock you - the corruption etc along with the levels of opioid addiction

Dopesick is an absolute eye-opener! We also had no idea of the corruption and problems. Brilliantly acted too

Dopesick is brilliant. Keaton is a fantastic actor. You�d never know Poulter is English. Dever was brilliant in this and also previously �Unbelieveable� on Netflix albeit she is in danger of always playing a victim you really feel sorry for with her little sad face.
Michael Stuhlbarg though was my favourite as Richard Sadler who I always thought was amazing as Jewish mafia leader Arnold Rothstein in Boardwalk Empire (still the series I�m surprised many people never watched- one of the best ever.)

Just reading an article in The Times about the Sackler family, some lived in the UK. They�ve pumped big money into many of our best known museums and galleries. They even gave money to the (excellent by the way, lovely to visit on a summer�s day) Yorkshire Sculpture Park near me.
It�s being called an �Artwash� of their opioid profits. Quite extraordinary.

I�m half way through Dopesick due to the recommendation on here. It is truly shocking and sad, but still a very good watch.
