Harry Potter Lego Sets
Hi all
DS has his eye on the HP sets and it's his birthday on Wednesday so was going to get him one. He'll be 12 and loves lego but he gets through his builds quite quickly these days. Has anyone done a HP set that seems a little more tricky than others that might give us a better £/minutes spent ratio? The budget is about £70. He already has Hagrid's house but that's the only one so far. Thanks |

we have the whomping willow, its a lovely set but its not too tricky, and the smaller sets wouldn't be any good for what you're looking for. The castle looks amazing but comes with a big price tag!
Have you looked on legos official site? It gives the amount of pieces etc in each set. They have brought out a Hedwig that moves, its has an age of 10+ so is a bit trickier than the other ones - its about £34.99 on amazon at the moment |

I’m doing “Attack on the burrow” it’s nice but straightforward so doubt it would take an enthusiastic builder very long...

Thanks all. I think I might get him a smaller token set and then give him some money to go with the other cash he gets and then he can make up his own mind

may not take long but I do really like the new hedwig set. For £35 I think it's really good value for money especially as it'll be a good one to leave on display plus I'm always looking for the little bit of playability with sets (rather than just building & that's it). this one has a crank so you can make him flap his wings!
