We also found the price of food shockingly high. I truly don't know how a family survives without a very good income. Even Aldi and Walmarts prices were high and eating out was expensive, whatever the meal was. Service was minimal at best but at least an 18% tip is still expected. Portion sizes and menu's have shrunk too. Our best buys for clothes was at Macys during Thanksgiving when a lot of things were 50% off. I saw a couple of toys that i wanted from the Target booklet, but no store had them. The US clearly have the same supply issues as the UK.
Having said all that- we have been home for 2 days and i would go back tomorrow !

We've recently returned from Florida.
Cocoa beach, St Augustine, Orlando.
Prices have definitely increased both food and shopping. Bargains are far harder to come by.
Only things we found were Vans t shirts 3 for $30 for son and the large Yankee Candles 5 for $60 for Mrs . Both at Premium Outlets idrve.

We definitely noticed this too. I last went in November 2019, so just before lockdown. Skechers was at least 50% more expensive this year with little to no discounts. Even the black Friday deals were rubbish.
Polo Ralph, the rrp had gone up a lot. Tracksuits that were $90 2 years ago for tops and bottoms were now $110-148. T-shirts never went below $20.
We still managed to fill 5 cases and ram the car seat bags.
Calvin Klein was great, as we always had an extra 20-30% off through their preferred rewards (free to sign up with your email), and their prices were still good.

Ralph we were patient with and hit their 50% off sale quite hard and then when that ended we had 30% vouchers which included clearance. The last day they seemed to be clearancing lots of stuff whilst we were in there. Sweatshirts worked out to be $26, some tees were $20.

Macy’s was great for baby clothes. 60-80% off Nike/adidas/Calvin Klein/Tommy tops and tracksuits.

Prices here have risen quite a bit on everything. If you're looking for bargains, now's not the time. At least for most things.
It's always amazing to me that Bath and Body Works is such a big deal among many of you dear Brits. Maybe we don't appreciate it enough. It's like you being able to buy Twiglets whenever you want to, and I can't.
