Are the Golden Carrol restaurants open & still trading in Orlando.

The one on south kirkman has closed permanently but the one on i-drive is open. I don’t know if it’s always been the case or it’s seasonal but it’s only doing breakfasts at weekends🙂
The website has a list of which ones are open/closed.

Are there any other breakfast buffets? One of my favourite Florida memories is a Ponderosa buffet but that was a good 15 years ago now.

Yup, the one on Vineland Avenue is still open but running reduced hours…I hope the hours go back to normal before our trip, 10am opening is far too late.

They open earlier on Saturday/Sundays.

By 10am we would be in the parks.
Hope the opening times get better in the year .

Buffets we have been to in the last few months -

Disney Cruise
Royal Caribbean

Both had strict hand washing before entry, both all drinks and food was served to you - nothing was touched by another customer.

In both cases 'safer' than before Covid.

In GC there was enforced santitastion of hands. Food was self serve but disposable gloves were provided at each food station.

Again, probably a bit 'safer' than before Covid.

Its such a shame, I remember going in 2005 and visiting a different buffet restaurant nearly every night. They really suited our family because my daughter was very fussy and my son loved trying different and new things.
