if the room was available and included in the offer then Disney would allow it with an increase in price.

Bit of a strange 1 and looking for some advice please.

We are booked for 2 weeks at the tower at Coronado Springs in April. As part of the package we also got $200, $61/night dining credit, celebration basket, memory maker and magical extras. This has all been paid in full.

As we are getting close to the holiday, I contacted my agent to double check everything and have now been told it is not a tower room but a standard tower view room. When my agent booked it he asked for the tower room with the Disney benefits and the Disney worker assumed he meant Tower View room as the tower doesn't come with the benefits.

My agent contacted Disney and they said the tower rooms are £3500.00 dearer for this duration and they do not come with disney benefits above and have effectively said there's nothing they can do and we can cancel if we want which would also entail loss of deposit.

Has anyone ever heard of anything like this?

Booking and paying for a holiday on the understanding you are getting something to be told this is not the case but you can cancel if unhappy!

Also, does anyone know why the tower would be SO much dearer? I would expect it to be more expensive but not 3.5K!

Any help appreciated 😊
Just had a look on our booking system and there is a room that says (tower view)

I would double check with your TA exactly which category of room they have booked.

That price difference is likely to be a club level tower room. A standard to a tower room is about £80/night difference, at least this was the difference on my dates. The club rooms were also the only room type excluded from the offer at CSR.

The tower rooms are larger, and last on the bus route.
Oh looks like the bus route has changed since we went in 2019 then. We used to walk over to the tower bus stop to make sure we had a seat. It was really busy with a tour group when we were there !

We were due to go at the end of January and I can confirm that Tower rooms were included in the offer for the dining credits etc.

It's possible they vary the route sometimes but it is normally Casitas first, looping around to the tower. I remember hearing several complaints (not here) that the buses were full by the time they got to the tower.

Can also confirm. I was trying to justify the tower room to myself for months for 2022, so I know it was definitely included.

tower room is def included in the offer.. I was booked a standard room (non tower) then upgraded to tower standard room.. in the tower, I believe theres tower water view room. tower standard 2 queen bed room. or tower one king bed room.. when I booked there wasn't any tower standard room avail thats why I booked non tower room as water view was too expensive.. then tower standard room became avail so I changed it.. it was roughly £50 more per night from standard room to tower standard room

hope this helps

OP I've read through the posts but I'd say that your TA hasn't "changed you for no reason" they never made the right booking to "change" anything & it's the TA's fault! Now I would be under the impression that it is now up to them to get you what you booked & paid for & there should be no additional charge to you. I would communicate this to them, insisting that they rectify their mistake, then if no joy look at a legal recourse

Oh wow, we went in Sept 2019 and the tower was definitely last too and people often couldn't get on. We purposely choose casitas for being first on the bus route so glad it didn't change while we were there!

Yes, that's exactly what I've said to them. I want exactly what I paid for but it's proving difficult.

I booked with 1 of the large UK travel companies.
If your invoice says Coronado Springs, you booked the wrong Hotel.

It should say….Gran Destino Tower

Not true, they're not separate hotels. All of the tower rooms are bookable room categories under CSR.

They've given the tower its own name to identify it style wise (since its theming is Spanish influence rather than the Mexican/Southwest theming of the older part of the resort) but from an operational perspective, it is all CSR.
