Loved his music since I was 11, he was my first "proper" concert at age 15 (although he was only on stage for an hour due to health issues 😔
 . Will be blasting his music loud for the next few days

As I said before, a sad day for many baby boomers. RIP Meatloaf, a truly unforgettable artist and bat out of Hell was an amazing LP that will live on for ever.. A giant of rock.
I met him once after one of his gigs in Germany. We were having a Schnell Imbis outside the concert hall when he started choking. I immediately did the ‘hook’ and shoved my fingers down his throat, removing a half-chewed sausage from the back! He looked at me like he loved me & said ‘you took the würst right out of my mouth’ . I have been playing Meatloaf on Alexa today and it brings back so many pleasant, half forgotten memories.
