Relaxing at the Grand Floridian

One night: HRH or PB-thoughts please
Looking for opinions please. We plan to spend one night in a Universal hotel for the front of ride passes. We usually stay at the Hard Rock Hotel which we love, especially the pool. Have also stayed at Royal Pacific which was nice, but I didn't feel it was anything special. We haven't ever stayed at the Portofino Bay.
So please can I have your opinions on HRH or PB, for one night. Just me and DH this trip

To be honest, for the amount of time you spend there on a one night stay, which ever is cheaper. We've done HRH & RPR, but like the location and 5 min walk from HRH to the studios, so for that reason we opt for there.

We adored PB but would want to spend plenty of time there enjoying it. We had 2 nights there, and our golden memories include sitting outside with a pizza in the afternoon, watching the boats on the lagoon, and listening to the live opera outdoors at night.
For one night, I think we would go wherever is cheapest. We are not sold on the look of RPR but we would be hardly at the resort.

We have stayed three nights in the past and preferred the relaxing atmosphere of the Royal Pacific to the lively HRH.
Just our personal preference as we liked to relax after the parks. |

We have done one night at each over the last few trips. I thought RPR was nice enough but DH says it’s his favourite, and the kids love HRH. For me, PB is on a whole other level, I loved it, the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept on. Definitely worth giving it a try 😊

We love all 3. If you’ve already stayed at the other 2 then go for portofino. Rooms are massive and the theming is lovely.
Make sure you manage to get a drink by the harbour at the thirsty fish after park close and if you are looking for a good inexpensive tea and like pizza, Sals is awesome.
