They don't sell them there or you can't use them there? I've got my sis in law picking us some up in Florida ready for our trip for new year. I'll be gutted if they don't work in DL

At the moment, January 2022, the Magic Band system is not in use at Disneyland California. You need to use the Disneyland App not MDE at California.

They did announce that the Magic Band system will be starting at Disneyland California in 2022 BUT there is no start date and no information if it will be a separate system or if it will be compatible with the WDW system,.

I was there last week, they don’t work, I bought a lanyard for my ticket instead.

So a bit of an update:

We bought our 3 day hoppers and reserved our park days last night.

We were going to hold on a little longer, but I can see that there’s quite a lot of Dates in March that are unavailable, so thought April is not that far off, we’d better book!

I think that is a good move, the availability does look low in March, it is pretty low in Orlando the week after next too.

Thanks Claudette, the tickets are refundable so it sealed the deal. We start two days in Disneyland Park and 1 day in California Adventure. However, we do have the hopper. One of our days is Easter Sunday, so we are expecting big crowds!
