TUI Free car hire with Alamo...Help needed
Just booked up Orlando for this year and selected the "free" ecomony car hire from Alamo through TUI. It states car will be Ford Fusion or similar, which should be ok for 2 adults, 2 kids and 4 cases.
I have not taken out the extra insurance, does anyone know if the Leisure Guard cover for £34 is what i need to cover me for CDW & THW...so i dont need to upgrade at the airport. Any advice much appreciated - i have only ever hired a car for a couple of days and used uber Edited at 02:09 PM. |

OP. I'm sorry but that quote is to cover the excess on a policy which isn't payable in America anyhow unlike Europe etc. For Europe it's good value.
You need full Collision Damage waiver and $1.000.000 worth of Supplementary Liability insurance. The policy you mention isn't that. You will be better off not accepting the 'free' car and getting a stand alone hire.

Thanks. Looking further into it it appears that CDW is covered is not in the hire agreement. I have found another excess policy for £82... but I am thinking of ditching the "free" car and getting my own.
Cheapest mid for 4 people i can see is through Kayak - via Argus Car Hire (Avis)... £365 all inc for a Ford Focus or Chevy Cruz... |

If you go through a UK website for a US hire there will be no excess but you need to read the T & C's very carefully with some of these 3rd party suppliers.
What dates are you looking for? Orlando or Sanford?

We booked with Tui and refused the car hire and chose our own transport.
The car hire with full insurance and extra driver from alamo brits was cheaper than tui wanted for the insurance.
