After reading all the posts, i reckon Disney will be more than happy to leave marvel with universal and just take the profit from whatever universal were paying marvel to use the characters in the first place, I realy cant see any of the marvel charcters in the magic kingdom in the near future, its in everybodys interest to leave them put!

loving the marvel/disney mashup pictures.
I'm hope that disney start taking control of the films as I'm pretty dissapointed with Fox's handling of the Marvel material.
I think disney will leave it at universal and just take a cut for licensing

I think Disney should do the decent thing and let Universal keep their for at least the next 10 years. You need competition and having Universal and Disney is good. I love Disney but Universal offers something different and it would be a shame if Disney decide to spoil that.

From what I understand Universal have the rights to the Marvel characters for The Hulk and Spiderman for as long as they operate the rides. Should they themselves choose to cease operating them then at that point the rights revert to Marvel, now Disney.

Un easy times for Universal, can they afford to loose such iconic rides such as spiderman or the Hulk, I would feel sure that they would have had something in place to hold on to the rides, and keep that part of Islands of Adventure, as it is , Despite the fact they are moving forward with Harry Potter, these rides have status certainly in the UK market.

According to a report on travel.latimes.com, Disney are honoring all existing contracts, even those with rival theme parks, so thats good news. Can't post the link coz I'm a new boy :-(

so if disney have bought all these characters except the some isn't it a bad deal for disney as they have the less popular characters?

Also if they bring out films on them are they not just promoting other peoples themeparks for them with alot of people wanting to go to see the ride after seeing the film.
