Ok I'll go with a controversial choice...
Sci-Fi Diner The first time I went there, I was 16 with my parents. Honestly I don't have memories about the food but of course I was amazed by the themeing. Skip forward 28 years and in 2017 I took a friend there for a burger dinner and due to all the recent bad reviews I wasn't expecting much but wanted him to experience the fake drive-in fun. He had no idea about it so it was hilarious watching his face once we got in. He was absolutely floored by the surroundings! And then we had very good burgers and fries, nothing felt frozen at all and it was above expectations. I've had many worse burgers in pubs! But to this day he says it was one of his most surprising experiences as a first time WDW visitor. I will certainly go back myself! Expectation: 5/10. Reality: 8/10. Edited at 07:21 PM. |

Captains Grille for lunch. It's always quiet at lunchtime and we love the lunch menu (different to the evening menu). It's a favourite of ours and DS2 insists on eating there whenever possible - they make the best chicken burger and fries according to him! The fish & chips are also great and th service is always very good.
Splitsville - we eat there a lot as we are a bowling family. All of my family LOVE their crinkle fries! Sci-Fi Diner - a The milkshakes are amazing (according to my boys) and they do lovely burgers too. |

I had a booking for sci fi dine in for this September - I had spotted two things that I really wanted, a main and a dessert. Would you believe it, they have both gone! I have changed our reservation for mama Melrose, as that steak and macaroni does look great 😃

Is Mama Melrose better than the Italian restaurants in Epcot?
