Disney's Test Track extended renovation 2012
'Test Track' at Disney's EPCOT looks like it will be closed for refurbishment from April to September 2012. The renovation is reported to be costing around $60 million. Rumour has it that a deal between Disney and General Motors would completely gut the Test Track attraction, leaving only the ride path and vehicles chassis in place.Other areas of the pavilion would also be completely refurbished. The Test Track vehicles will be designed by GM's in house design team rather than Disney Imagineers including adding new interiors and new electronics with new screens. The ride scenes will concentrate on vehicle design, production, fabrication and testing.

what a stupid time to be closing this attraction, right through the busy 2012 summer season. Along with the refurbishment of MK why dosnt Disney think about its timings!

oh no this is one of our favourite rides, hopefully it will be open late september which is when we are planning to go

One of my favourites so glad I am not going until October 2012. I hope they don't change it too much though although it would be great if it was a bit more reliable!

Oh no - This is my sons favourite ride - he was only just tall enough to ride it this year so will be gutted he can't go back on next year
