Sorry to hear about this. Sometimes the system just doesn't want to play ball.

When I booked mine I did it though Alamo Brits (I don't think this really matters as long as it's not classed as a 3rd party) but you need to do Online Check in and Skip the Counter through the .com site.

And you haven't selected any other options that you are aware of? Such as fuel etc?

I would definitely give them a call, if you have made a booking and you meet all the criteria for Skip the Counter then you should be able to do this.

100% sure. Selected pay on arrival. Didn't have any extras.

Phoned them and getting conflicting advice now.
He's is saying you must select the pay for the car now function. Not pay on arrival.
His suggestion is to cancel the whole reservation again selecting to pay for the car now x

I'm sorry but he clearly doesn't know what he is talking about. That is one of the conditions on the Alamo page.

Can you book via Brits?
