Just booked with Virgin - Standard SUV with Alamo, 30/7 - 20/8:

Virgin Price - £548.55
Alamo Brits - £890.03
Alamo - £956.40 (! )

I usually use USRentacar, and they have always been the most competetive for me, but the cheapest standard SUV they have for my dates is with Sixt at £670.80.

Suprised to find Virgin as the cheapest, but very happy with what we have paid

LITTLETIBBS .Yes it did.The fully inclusive insurance option.We used Alamo at Xmas and were very happy with the service.

Alamo through Florida discount car hire

Am I right in thinking at this stage that is a good deal, I am seeing £750-1000 in most other places.

Do people generally take out the extra insurance for tyres, windscreen, keys etc (an additional £52)

Just booked this myself for 17 August - have been looking at VH car hire for a couple of weeks - decided to bite the bullet and booked it.

Hi I have booked yestersay 7 seater minivan with Discount Florida Car Hire
Disney car care Centre pick up an drop off Orlando International 8-29th July (22 days) £672 with Alamo. We need two drivers and on Discount Florida Car Hire there was two options one for 1 driver and the platinum for 4 drivers. I spoke to Andy on chat and he advised me there is a package for 2 drivers slightly more than the one driver package (for us it was £24) but this is not advertised on the web. Price was miles cheaper than everyone else for 2 drivers.

Just booked via VH for an Alamo intermediate suv for 29th sept til 19th oct picking up at Disney Car care Centre £507. Same car via Alamo Brits was coming in at £608.

Alamo Brits has gone from the best value option to the most expensive in just 4 weeks!

Has anybody made the author of Brits Guide aware of this?

Have you checked Floridacar hire , ours was 390 standard suv , silver insurance 19/8/16 to 2/9/16 . Paid deposit only
