Wdw 2020 - a dream comes true
My boyfriend and I are going to WDW next Year. We will be there sometime september/october for 13 or 14 nights. 😍
It will be his first and my 2nd time in the bubble. We will have 3 nights before or after our Wdw stay at the beach But as we have to stay to a budget (5.500€) I have to plan a bit more 😅🙈 I am not sure by now if it would be cheaper to stay in a moderate ( hopefully with free quick) and pay oop or upgrade to the normal DDP Or if we only book a value resort 😅 If there won't be a free Dining Option 🙈 i have no clue by now, but will have Plan B by then How much do you calculate for food per day? Or do you guys use a Dining Plan calculator? For the off days we are not sure but have an eye on St. Augstine😍 anyone been there or have another favorite place for beach and chill time🤗 Thank you very much |

Does your budget include flights? If not, then you should be able to get a deluxe resort with free dining for that amount - OKW has been around £2,500 and I think AKL is coming out slightly less as well so that would be a good option? Tickets will be around £330 each.
Even if you have to factor flights in your £5,500 should be manageable. Did you want to Universal as well or just Disney because then you would be going over budget. My advice would be to go for the DDP as you just can't beat it but then again Universal is so awesome you have to do it while you are there. Perhaps a 9 or 10 night stay at Disney and then 4 or 5 nights at Universal? Wait to see if free dining is offered and then price it all up. If not, I'd factor around $100 a day for food, but of course you can eat much more cheaply if you buy from Walmart and make your own.

LLMM where have you seen Disney tickets for £330? You couldn't get them for that much this year & I've yet to see a price that doesn't have 4 in front of it
Upgrade cost is just shy of £500, on this year's price & 2 weeks at POR with dining upgrade was £3700(Sept). One thing that I would use to caution you with upgrading & this is from experience with DS' holiday, is that unless you are planning most of your holiday around Disney, going to Universal etc causes a bit of a headache. To explain further, DS & DGF are there for 14 nights, 4 of those nights they will be offsite until late, so that's 4 nights at a Signature plus 4 days worth of snacks & QS to "use" up. There's no point in paying to upgrade if you are not going to use all of the credits IYKWIM SD

I think that’s doable for 2 people.
It was £3,000 for 10 nights at POFQ with upgraded dinning, last 2 weeks of October (you could use the gift card for tips if they offer that?) I’m sure you could get 3/4 nights at a beach and flights with 2.5k. Kat

Sounds just about enough - we got 11 nights at CSR with upgraded dining and tickets for £2,800 for Sept 19, so adding 3 more nights onto that you are looking at another £500 (?) so £3,300 which leaves you £2,200 for flights, few nights at the beach, car hire (?)and spends (minimal if on dining plan). We also got a $200 gift card which will cover some of the DDP tips. You could also stick to just QSDP and save a good £400 of upgrade cost. The deluxe hotels were around £1k more expensive when we looked so we opted for a moderate + upgraded DDP.

So we decided to go with Port Orleans Resort ( if free Dining will come out) and upgrade to the normal DDP 😍😍😍
Everything around it will kept at the cheapest possible So lets hope cheap and good flights will be there Do you recommend Riverside or French quater |

If it’s of any use to you, my wife and I are going to POFQ this September for 14 nights and the cost including QSDP and tickets was £2,900. Flights could have been as low as £400 each direct return (we are going PE so paid more but I saw economy available at that price at least). So, your budget definitely gives you room to manoeuvre should prices stay fairly close in line, albeit with an inflation increase.
