Still confused (doesn’t take much).

So I want to buy an AP...

1. that doesn’t start till July
2. but at the current price
3. and with shareholder discount

Can I do that? By post or phone?

To add a complication I just renewed my UK passport and don’t have the new one yet!

You can avoid the increase by buying passes soon. Over the phone you can get a temporary pass which needs exchanging within 6 months. Or you can do it by post. The form is available on the dlp site
Hi Deb - Would I be right in thinking that I couldn't use the temporary pass ' trick ' to get at current prices to buy a discovery pass to then use / activate ( and use for the next 4 days ) when I go in June ?

I presume that activation in June would count as day 1 , and hence I couldn't use on day 2 and 3 because of the rule you advised me on a few weeks ago ?

We aren't 100% sure we would be going a second time ( first one is in discovery dates this year ) but want to cover April/may 2020 if possible as those are most likely dates we could go . Leaving till late May to book discovery would be 3*179 plus 40 parking = 587 . 3 magic flex at today's prices would be 219*3 = 657 so only 80 more and gives us extra flexibility next year
I presume that the magic flex doesn't have the day2/3 rule ?
I also presume that if we bought the magic flex at today's prices, then activated when we went in June , THEN found out we needed an upgrade to magic plus for April/may 2020, that the upgrade price per ticket would be 299-219 paid= 80 not the 299-259 new list price =40 ? (hope that makes sense - trying to learn fast &#128512
( half convincing myself to bite the bullet and do magic plus at today's prices , to activate in June and get the Emh and other discounts for June break , then we will be all set for pretty much any dates next April / may )

Don't want to waste if we don't go next year , but I do love a bargain , and paying the magic plus prices now may MAKE us go next year 😄

No it wouldn't work. If you are going in July you'd be best buying the temporary pass at the current price, you can do it by phone and I think they charge about £5 postage or buy online on the French site and print at home, but you wouldn't get SH discount.

If you want SH discount then you'd do it by post but the pass will be active straight away

Which pass are you looking at getting?

Yes if you got the Discovery Pass as a temp pass to activate in June then you can't use it on day 2 or 3. This is the only pass with that rule.

If you upgrade to a higher pass you pay the difference between what you paid and the price of the higher pass (so yes €299 - €219) just remember that prices may go up again next April!

I would go for Magic Plus now, you get EMT which is so worth it, you can get a lot done in that time. Plus you get 10% discount in shops and restaurants. Buy the temporary pass which you exchange within 6 months, either by phone or online on the French site and print at home

Thanks, I suspected as much.

Thinking of Magic Plus as we love EMT and the guest storage would be useful if staying offsite.

Would love the reserved viewing spots but can’t justify Infinity price just for that.

One more question - either with forms or by phone, would we pay sterling or Euros?

We put Euros on our FairFX card specially...

Hopefully this will work booktickets.disneylandpa... =32454335543R

It's the 2nd option at the bottom Pass Temporaire. If you use a computer the Chrome browser usually has an option to translate the page. If you need help send me a PM

I think you'd pay in Euros over the phone, I'd guess it would be the same online?

The Magic Plus is €259 at the moment or if you waited until after the increase and bought whilst there using SH discount it works out at €254 so not much in it really!

Just a thought, you can pay monthly for AP's if you wanted to go Infinity but didn't want to pay a big chunk in one go
