Manchester to San Francisco via Heathrow
Were flying to San Francisco traveling from Manchester to Heathrow T5 with BA, do we still need to check-in again once we are at Heathrow or can we go straight to our departure gate whatever it is.
I thought I would ask, as we've never flow this way to the States before.

If it’s on one ticket, you won’t need to check in again. If the SFO flight is operated by BA, you won’t even have to reclear security at LHR on the outbound (though you would on the return if using the same route). You’ll probably have to go from T5A to one of the satellite terminals to get the SFO flight.

We flew Man-Lhr-Lax in 2017 to T5 and our connecting flight was from T5 to we just followed the purple signs for connecting flights, through security and then on to our gate.
Have a look at this: britishairways/cms/gl...necting_t5.pdf |

If you arrived to T5 on a domestic flight and were connecting to a flight departing T5, there would not have been any security, just a boarding pass check and then you are in T5A departures.
There would have been security on the return if you were doing the same connection in reverse. |

Flying to SF in a few weeks from Heathrow via Dublin & we’ve been told our luggage goes straight through to SF.
