Spaghetti bolognese here. Traditionally it is our middle son’s favourite meal and he always wanted it when he gets home for Xmas on Xmas Eve. This is the first year he isn’t coming home as he and his fiancée are preparing for their trip to Japan in a few days time, so it will be strange not having him here for it but the tradition continues for me, DH and DD 😀

Since living moving back from Denmark our Christmas Eve tradition is a typical Danish Christmas meal...which is roast pork, sweet red cabbage, caramelised potatoes and gravy

We're off to see Mary Poppins then a mini buffet - quiche, pork pie, sausage rolls, cheeses and drinks in front of the TV tonight.

We have a Shepherds pie made with left overs from yesterdays joint. We used to have a takeaway after kids carol service but kids have out grown that now.

Today we are having beef bourguignon with potatoes and veg. Last year we had nibbles as we were going away for Christmas.

We too are off to see Mary popping and then a small buffet for the 4 of us.
It has become our tradition to go to the cinema and then buffet food on the years I’m not at work. |

It’s always a Chinese takeaway for us, at one time there were 10 of us, me, DH, my four kids, SIL, her husband and their two. We did this for years, now just me DH and dd. Boys have their own families and kids to get to bed. SIL and husband divorced so they won’t be here. My dd is working today until 8:30 but she is a stickler for tradition and I have strict instructions to order the Chinese for when she gets home. 😂
