Mobile Easy recipe for cut biscuits

Can anyone recommend a tasty recipe for a biscuit mix that we can use biscuit cutters on. We’ve just made shortbread and cut it and in the oven it’s all just merged together!

Help!

What mix have you used on your shortbread, mine never merge, I use the 3,2,1 for flour, marge and sugar. Too much sugar can cause them to spread

Gingerbread is delicious for cut biscuits? Otherwise variations on short bread usually don’t spread?

Thank you. I’ve made shortbread before that doesn’t spread but can’t remember which recipe I used!

It’s the Mary Berry recipe so has semolina in it and flour and sugar.

Please recommend me a recipe if you have a good one! Mary’s just spread across the baking tray

At work I make around 150 a batch but the recipe I use breaks down to 6oz flour, 4oz marg or butter and 2oz sugar. Not sure on grams sorry 😊

Edited to add plain flour.

Edited at 08:05 PM.

If you have a mixer just put it all in with the k paddle and mix until it just comes together. Roll and cut, so easy to do.

This is exactly what I did, but in the oven it all spread out and merged into one big mass of biscuit. It tastes delicious though!

You can also recut them while they are still warm and they shouldn’t break if you are quick enough
