For those who don't have sports there's a new Sky F1 only option at £10 a month

We pay Sky @ £37.

Last month BT lost IndyCar to Sky Sports F1. We would be paying BT @ £9 for MotoGP, which was OK.

BT sent us a letter to inform us BT Sport was increasing, and also the cost to watch in HD was going up.

BT Sport @ £15 (4 months free for new customers) plus BT Sport HD
@ £6 (4 months free for new customers).

Quite a jump from £9 to £21.

Even Sky don't charge to watch sports channels in HD now.

After spending over 2 hours on the phone with BT during which time they tried hard to sell BT TV and BT Fibre, going through their 'steps', they eventually offered BT Sport @ £9 plus BT Sport HD @ £3, so long as we agreed to renew for 18 months.

That's still too much (£144) just to watch MotoGP so we have cancelled BT Sport from 1st April.

Thanks for posting.
F1 offer includes HD too, fixed for 2 years I believe.
Normally it is £18, and before it need Sky Sports HD at an extra £5.
I think you still need to pay for Boxsets to download F1.
That's a good deal to be fair to Sky.

If BT did something similar, £10 for MotoGP in HD I would do it.

I suppose it depends on what your broadband is used for and where you live as our BT broadband is far better than anything else available near us and we have never had any issues...

Duchy,

Do you know if we have to keep this option for the full 2 years to get the £10 per month price or can we cancel after 18 months for example?

Good question, same one I asked when I saw the offer. Can cancel it with a month's notice at any time in the two years
