I organise it on the belt, have my bags open and ready in my trolley and pack as I go. I’m a quick packer and because it’s organised it’s easy. One of the assistants in Aldi even told me that I was a super speedy packer one day. Hugh praise indeed

You really notice it when you go elsewhere. Have been in Morrisons tapping my foot wanting the cashier to hurry up and send my stuff flying my way

I just throw it in the trolley (usually while spotting the items husband has put in without me noticing) and pack at the benches. I do like a chat with a cashier though so sorry if you are behind me at the till. It's a shame no one has time for anyone anymore !

Oh I have plenty of time for people and regularly have a chat with elderly people in the queue at the chemist etc. But I do my shopping on the way to do the school pick up so I like to get in and out.

I load the band in such a way that I can put the items into the trolley after, so larger, heavy stuff first, light last. Load everything into the trolley then wheel it to the car and pack my bags there. Never bothered me - I like to challenge the check-out staff to see how fast I can get them to scan

I open my bags for life and fill them as the stuff heads my way, I'm usually packed and waiting for the next item, I sometimes fill at the car boot, but only if its a nice day. Never at the bench.

I like Aldi, and find Sainsbury's and the others slow now.

Depends on wether it's a big shop or a little food shop. If I have bought a lot of items I put it in the trolley and use the packing bench , if it's just a few items,I pack them as they are scanned.

I also load up in the right order so I can pack easily.

I put bottles/tins and vegs/fruit on first, meat etc next then the lighter stuff/boxes/bread. Then it all goes back into the trolley and I bag it up at the packing bench.

I get quite annoyed when people are trying to bag their groceries at the till and take their time that is what the packing bench is for.

I do the putting things in order on the belt and hope the cashier passes them through to me in similar order. I only bag the vast amount of milk I buy at the checkout, everything else gets put neatly in the trolley so I can bag up quickly at the bench or at the car if it’s fine. I’ve recently started taking my aged in laws shopping as they’ve sold their car and OMG slow isn’t the word! He passes it to her after scanning, she dithers with where to put it, he counts out bank notes one by one and then when they get to the bench, he holds the bags open in mid air while she loads up, and when they get to the car they are itching to advise me how to pack the shopping in th boot and woe beside me if I go around a corner too fast as their eggs might get squashed. I’ve only been married to their son for 37 years and managed to do a fair bit of shopping in that time so I think I know what I’m doing bless em.
