Who Has a Virgin Credit Card?
I was wondering who else had the email saying that all overseas transactions were free from the start of Jan til the end of April?
I had the email just last week, but neither myself, my husband or my close disney friends had this email until last week. I just wondered if anyone else had it back in January when the offer started? My reason is that I have a barclaycard with no overseas charges that I always use for overseas transactions only. I wanted to pay off our California accommodation mid January and the accommodation we were using automatically took it from my virgin card without me giving my payment details. They must have been stored on Homeaway. I called up Virgin credit card as I hadn't given permission for them to take the payment (I had requested an invoice to pay early, but didn't expect them just to take it). He just said that I could dispute it if they didn't let me change the payment card. After a couple of days the £60 charge on my virgin card was refunded, so I just thought it was a customer service thing. Until this email came through last week. And I now see that they have this offer going, but the guy I spoke to never mentioned it when I called up in January and I even explained about me wanting to use my barclaycard as there were no overseas charges. My issue is that I've been using my barclaycard a lot to pay for trips this year. Had I had known of this I would have used my Virgin Card. I worked out from my barclaycard statements that I would have gained just short of 40'000 miles. I'm so unhappy. Virgin don't want to know! I've called explaining and I've had a letter now saying they've done their bit by emailing the offer (which I never got). So I was curious if anyone else had the offer emailed earlier on in the year. I thought the offer was if you use your card abroad rather than buying things from overseas online?
