We like offsite for the space in a condo or townhouse close to Disney. We booked a night onsite last year and have one booked for this year too so we can get our MB and fastpasses at 60 days. We enjoyed our one night but the only benefit it offers is the above. Free dining doesn't lure me as our space and privacy outweighs. We like offsite eating far better and it requires less planning. Onsite at universal is a must however and the benefit there outweighs the space! We have booked 2 weeks in a townhouse and our final week at RPR club level so we have express passes to dip in and out for the week as well as the lounge to spread out in if we feel too cramped in the room.

Onsite doesn't appeal to us at all. We like the peace and quiet of the villa and our own space, pool etc. I think you can have too much Disney tbh so it's nice to get away.

Previously always stayed onsite Disney for 1 week then 2nd week over on Gulf coast but this time is a 1st as only going with my DD (DH said 2 weeks in Orlando was his idea of hell! ) & staying at my sister’s town house in Clermont so will be interesting to see the difference, one thing I’m missing is DDP makes a huge difference to cost of food but cheaper accommodation should make it swings & roundabouts

We have never stayed onsite. We’ve always stayed in an offsite hotel.
The closest we got to onsite was the Hilton Bonnet Creek. Really recommend it for the place generally and the lazy river.
