Does anyone have definitive answer on which vehicle classes do andvwgich don’t get the free upgrade? Standard SUV is shoring with Alamo Max on Autoeurope but there appears to be some doubt whether this will actually get the free upgrade to Full size SUV.

Yes:
Economy car -> Compact car
Compact car -> Intermediate car
Intermediate car -> Standard car
Standard car -> Full size car
Intermediate SUV -> Standard SUV

On the AutoEurope website, above the vehicle in the search results it tells you if it includes a free upgrade. Don't think they should list the vehicles not included in the offer as Alamo Max as its a bit misleading imo.

Yes, from my experience as I booked yesterday:
the intermediate upgrade to standard is where it stops; not surprising though as the price for the full size SUV (compared to standard) increases massively on all the recommended DIBB sites I’ve checked out in the last few days.

Hi guys, if I book a premium on MAX will they upgrade me to luxury? I have a voucher with Auto Europe from last year's cancelled trip so thinking of doubling down and treating our selves.

No. Alamo Max with the upgrade only applies to the following categories:
Economy -> Compact
Compact -> Intermediate
Intermediate -> Standard
Standard -> Full size car
Intermediate SUV -> Standard SUV

Cheers buddy, thought it was to good to be true. So is there no advantage at all to booking with MAX once you go past standard SUV?

No advantage in booking anything larger than the intermediate SUV (upgraded to the standard SUV).
