They expect to be vaccinating half a million a day by next week so it will definately been ramping up-although once they have the current target groups done, thats 99% of the risk removed so who knows, they might take the pedal off the gas purely because they can-i suspect however they will want to get as many people jabbed as soon as possible.

I would say they’ll start getting things moving again as soon as the vulnerable groups are vaccinated. I’m feeling positive for our holiday anyway!

Just booked to leave on the 18th for 2 weeks... if that doesn't work out then we'll go at Christmas instead. Never been in the August heat before though: any words of advice for me?

Cold neck towels, lots of rests, early starts, go slow!
Have fun - we love the heat

Water parks during the day, theme parks at night!

I'm staying positive (albeit praying at the same time). We wasn't planning to go this year but finding £300 direct flights in the school holidays (1st Aug) £500 for a mini van for two weeks and a good price villa was too much to turn down.

If it does get cancelled i'm sure we can put it towards the following year but i'm guessing villas will be in high demand next year and owners will be charging a premium due to the dwindling benefits of staying on property.
