Walt Disney world tickets

Sorry if this has been asked before, but what are people’s thoughts on Disney starting the resale of tickets for use beyond the 26th of September next year? I travel out on the 29th and I really don’t want to miss out on Disney 😥

Their current excuse is that these will be "Speshal" tickets which I being a cynic read as "We are going to charge you more!" I'm sure I'd read that they would be released by end of Aug but I can see that date being pushed out. I'm not at all sure that they are going to get the visitor numbers that they are hoping for but a lot is going to depend on an available vaccine IMO

Thank you for replying! I did think that they’d start selling tickets again at some point because they rely on tickets to bring in the money, I just hate all the uncertainty! I’m sure it’ll be ok nearer the time (she said with her fingers crossed)

Wonder what is going to be special about them besides the price? Anyone any speculative ideas?

I fear they are (were?) planning to switch us to the date-based pricing, possibly with a bigger jump from 7 to 14 to 21 days. I hope I'm wrong, though!

I got scared and decided just to buy tickets now from Floridatix, I can’t imagine they’re going to be any better than what we have now.
Only downside I suppose if park hopping still isn’t allowed

I, too, had registered late August somewhere in my brain. It was something about tickets not getting printed until late August. I can't find the source of that anymore but the closest thing I found was tomorrow (24th) as the payment deadline Floridatix instated for 2021 Ultimates to be used after Sept 26th. Their post now says they need to pay Disney for these tickets by Sept 1st, which suggests the change may occur then.

Once APs are back on sale we will have a better idea when tickets for the latter half of 2021 will go on sale.

Was that for a ticket that can be used after September 2021?

Yes, I’d paid a deposit on them about a month ago, just received them in the post today and they’re valid till 14th January, 2022
