Lapland 2016 Day one

I've never written a trip report before so go easy on me!

When booking the trip it was a choice between Orlando again or Lapland so bit of polar opposites! Lapland won(for 2016 anyway!)

Our day started at 4.30am with a trip from the guest house(Acorns lodge, about 800 yards from bristol airport).. With 2 seriously grumpy and tired children we boarded the Easyjet flight...

Needless to say, they didnt have much idea about where we were going, as the destination stated Kittila and not the obvious Lapland

It was only upon landing they started to realise it was a snowy destination and were still a bit confused

Once off the plane and baggage collected, we made our way to our hotel the Levinturi Spa

It was quite cool, but the wind chill made it feel so much colder!

Upon check in, we collected our snowsuits and boots(certainly needed!) and made our way to enjoy "Proper" snow as the Inghams rep put it!

Needless to say Day one was really tiring, but so worth it to see the childrens faces!

I believe it was chartered from them by inghams(I could be wrong tho)

Ahh right so you booked package. I thought you had booked diy.

Ahh We stayed in Levi 2 years ago. Best holiday ever. Have an amazing time!
