Not sure about group F but we had booked a ford focus or similar and they tried to give us a Mini Cooper

Sounds like a mid size or intermediate SUV, I had a Chevy Captiva from Avis at Tampa last year with 6 miles on the clock, nice car

yes that sound about right .
just wasn't sure about what sort of vehicles they had as not that many international flights. But I guess that means they would need to be better ! ?

They get a lot of domestic flights too and Americans hire as well. Avis do tend to allocate you a car also so you won't get a choice.

Yep! A ploy to try to get us to upgrade. They don't let you choose your own car at TPA Avis, they write your car details on the rental agreement and send you to the garage where you collect your keys and car. I'm a very patient person and expect the tricks they play, that's all car hire companies but in the end, after a few crossed words we got a focus
