What a mess this all is still 😕.
The $75 people are really getting a bad deal, not because the compensation isn't enough that's what people were offered and were happy to accept at the time (we weren't, we moved) and I don't think theres really any argument that they are entitled to more except for the fact that some people are getting more than them. Disney should imo contact all the people who chose to stay and give them the option to choose whether they want the £50 or $75, so unfair for half to receive both and not the others. Curious, on what basis can you make a claim with abta if they've offered $75 and given you $75? Edited at 02:41 PM. |

I started a thread asking the very same question
Then managed to answer myself by speaking to another cm who advised me 10 working days is the maximum-ie 14 days.. However; some lucky folks do receive their updated versions sooner-but that's not the norm -especially not at the moment |

Are CBR actually taking new bookings with all this going on at the normal full price?

Yea we were offered the magic band credit. I suppose they've just changed how they're giving the credit (maybe thinking this is for the better as the gift card is more useful).
Can't believe that Disney didn't think about how their words to describe the credit could be so misinterpreted. |

Disney contacted my agent and told her that we will only get what we've been offered and nothing more on check in. She was told that is the case for all customers who have already agreed a deal. When I told my agent all new bookings are getting the same she was disgusted and couldn't apologise enough for the mess up Disney have made.

So, finally caught up on the thread and all Papa Mouse's fab advice.
I really, really cannot believe that whoever makes the decisions thinks it's fair to offer any new booking to CBR exactly the same comp as those that booked over a year in advance. I can't believe the complete lack of direction from the people at WDW that make the decisions. I'm still not fully decided whether to even stay at CBR, family want to stay, but I'm going to wait until May & once I hear how it is a CBR, make an informed decision then. Looks like there will be enough space at POR if people are moving out of there to go to CBR. 😁 |
