'Free' Disney Shuttles

Embassy Suites South I -Drive, they also have free shuttles to Universal too.

the main issue with free shuttles, is that they drop you off at TTC or Epcot, and then you need to make your way to the park you're going to, using disney transports

and the schedules are sometimes dreadful.
Some shuttle will leave so late from the hotel, and return so early that you can't rope drop or see nighttime shows without taking a uber/taxi back to your hotel, free shuttle or not

hotel shuttles also usually run 3 or 4 times per day

so double check how those shuttles work

consider shuttles as a bonus, but budget for transfers via taxi or uber as if you didn't have the shuttle.
Don't just build your plans around shuttles, or you'll realise that they're not how you expected them to be.

My in-laws stayed at the Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista in 2015 and only used the shuttles a few times at the start of their stay. They were very hit and miss and were on a schedule so weren't regular. They ended up using taxis a lot instead. Some days they would come back to POR with us and get a taxi from there.

We thought we would rely on the hotel transport but you are v v tied time wise and it made for some very long days as it's not practical to go back to the hotel for a break .I didn't keep a note of how much we spent in taxis but it was quite a lot ,(this was 2015 and my Uber app didn't work )
I would not do it again as it's too restrictive.

check out Sheraton Vistana lake buena vista, although we have a car, we have used the shuttle to go to Epcot for the evening😄

When I was looking to book Florida I did a spreadsheet based on Disney value, moderate and offsite. By the time I added price of meals, transport and being stuck at parks all day. All in all it worked out minimal to stay on site. Consider a diy package with on Disney/ I drive for Universal.

Staybridge suites do free shuttles to all Disney parks, (although I don't know about the water parks) but the hotel is located at LBV not idrive.

The b resort and spa. Lake buena vista. Hotel plaza boulevard. They have free shuttles to all the Disney parks. Well you pay a resort fee. Good location as you can walk to Disney Springs from the hotel. Nice hotel. Stayed there last year & staying again this year. I never drive when in Orlando & not had an issue getting anywhere from there. Used uber to to universal & shopping outlets!
