Caribbean Beach Resort building works and Old Port Royal closure

I hadn’t been going to bother requesting an area but if Martinique is now classed as standard I may ring up and request Jamaica. I really don’t want Martinique. Honestly if I had another £400 to spare I’d switch to AKL but this is supposed to be a budget trip and I’d been pretty sure we’d end up in Aruba or Jamaica anyway so wasn’t worried.

Construction should be nearly finished by then. I'm guessing that by August 2019 it should be mainly interior work and ground work, as the new Riviera resort is 'due' to open in fall.

From what I've read, most UK guests with standard room bookings seem to be allocated mainly Jamaica & Aruba.
I've read on other forums that Martinique is due to go back to being preferred once food court re-opens.
But like you say it's probably good to ring & request Jamaica, just incase. 😊
