Its still bonkers though 3 weeks is nearly $500, I'm hoping that Disney do something for the guests from the UK that stay for such long periods compared to people from closer that come a for a few days.

It's a simple decision for me ... with the falling standards of the DDP and the amount of building work , for us , the resort parking charge tips the balance from on site to off site. We may book a night or two without a car but overall as a couple the numbers don't stack up and there's some very nice alternatives out there off site.

It will only be expensive if you do hire a car and visit non Disney parks then really you will be paying double for parking as you be paying Disney $24 and then Universal roughly the same.

Most hotels in US don't have such fees, only the ones in large cities and tourist hotspots. Resort fees are the same. A total con they are.

We just use the onsite transport and uber. Never had an issue We'll continue to do this for as long as we are onsite.
Book through WDTC and you won't have to pay the charges until Dec 2019

Do you have to pay that if you have a restaurant reservation as well? I have breakfast booked at O'Hana in December and am staying off site.

We are ok for next year and always take the car option when booking even tho we only use it for getting from the airport to hotel & return and one afternoon shopping, so will see how they are intending it to work when we next go which, (unless we win the lotto), will probably be 2021/2 ! and maybe we will just taxi it to hotel and hire a car for the day before we due to leave for shopping and return to the airport.

Ok, I have searched and checked all I can. We are taking advantage of the £900 for two at All Stars Resort TUI are offering in a months time. We get free parking for the week, yes?
Thanks
