We stayed in both hotel's and the QII is by far the better hotel, enjoy your stay.

I WAS booked to stay at the econolodge in November, however recieved a letter from Travel City, today, stating that it is closing permanently and I have been upgraded to a different hotel. Hope this helps.

Cheers mate will do. Worked out ok, got 13 nights in the quality inn and a night at hard rock hotel, the latter costing the same as a week at the former lol

Called yet again to Thomas Cook, and yet again they tell me they haven't got any information on it. Their operations team are working on it! How come some folk who travel with TC on tripadvisor have been advised, yet the folk that I speak to at TC haven't been - are there different numbers for TC customer services :angry: I know I still have 8 weeks to go, but I am one of the first to be affected by it, it closes May 24 and I'm supposed to be there June 2!

I noticed this thread last night and informed a friend of mine who is staying here from May 18th to June 1st via Thomas Cook. I told him last night and when they called the TC shop today they knew nothing about it.

They then called back to say that it is indeed closed for part of their stay, and are now looking at alternatives for them.

I will post back when they have been offered a solution.
