Getting to Newark airport from Manhattan

Morning all, has anyone got any experience of this journey at all? I know there is a set taxi fee of $58 for JFK but it seems there is nothing similar for EWR and we could end up getting really caught out with costs!

Would a train be better, or a pre booked shared shuttle maybe?

The train between Penn and NWR is the way to go I think current costs are $12.50 ea way so £25 for 2 of you one way. As Big Dog says very easy even with luggage.

Oh gosh, trains make me nervous!

It says its a 30 minute journey so what allowances would you make for any delays or are they pretty reliable?

It's a reliable service and way easier than taxis etc.

Also, how easy is it to find our terminal from where the train drops us? Is it walkable?

Very easy they have guides stationed on the platform where the train comes in. Really the easiest thing I dont go on trains much either but this really is so simple.

It's not walkable no, the train drops you at Newark airport train station, you then go up the stairs and board the airtrain which drops you at your relevant terminal, very very easy... genuinely.
